A HISTORIC Tsumeb specimen, very probably from the famous surface exposure Green Hill at Tsumeb! This old-timer comes from an old European collection, where everything dates to the 1800s. Green, velvet malachite pseudomorphs after sharp azurite crystals richly and aesthetically line a vug in SOLID, poorly crystallized cerussite matrix. The large crystal is 3.5 cm. The Green Hill was gone by 1908.
