What a simply gorgeous and delicate radiating spray of pastel pink Elbaite Tourmaline needles! Hundreds of super slender, terminated, pink Elbaite Tourmaline crystals emanate from a tighter packed, spherical cluster of pink Tourmaline at the base resulting in a breathtaking piece of uniform pastel pink and offset by a shard of white Microcline accompanied by a small rosette of Lepidolite. Fantastic composition and balance. As a bonus, this is from an unusual locality - not Afghanistan as you would suspect from the color (though the odd formation is not typical of Afghanistan), but rather the Shigar Valley, known for tourmaline of other styles. Bought direct from a trusted source, who swore it is Shigar, and I have no reason to disagree. It really is something strange!
