An elegant and attractive floater comprised of two intergrown Azurite balls. These balls are composed of lustrous, royal-blue, well-defined Azurites crystals that range up to about 6 mm in length. The small amount of green Malachite is a nice accent. Purchased in 1983, this is undoubtedly from the famous finds at the Blue Grotto Prospect in La Sal. The color of the Azurites and symmetry of this dumbbell-shaped pair give this miniature excellent aesthetics. With the vein completely mined out in the 1980s, there will be no more of these beauties, which is a shame because this is one of the nicer pieces I have seen from there in its size.
