A large, rich specimen of hedenbergite (CaFeSi2 O6, cousin of diopside and augite) from an old mine in Montana from which specimens of any kind are rare now - the Victoria Mine, in the Sylvanite mining district, which was active early in the 20th century. Accompanied by an old John Albanese label.
