Attention quartz and Dalnegorsk collectors: Dalnegorsk AMETHYST! This is one of 4 specimens we got from a very small, surprising find in 2006. The specimens are not world-class for the species, but the importance here is the locality; and, actually, they ARE rather pretty, with good transparency, glassy luster and a very delicate lavender color. This is a nice single crystal, complete all around.
