I have seen small examples of this material over the years, but this is a rather large matrix plate. Emplaced on a massive quartz matrix which is covered by drusy tan siderite, is a cluster of doubly terminated, slightly lustrous and translucent, gray colored crystals of fluorapatite, to 2.3 cm across.
