This is an old classic from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan; a treelike, arborescent crystallized silver mass perched upon gnarled copper roots. Combination specimens like this are highly desired and seldom seen for sale today. Most of these were very old, very dirty, and just need cleaning to reveal the silver under the grime. The silver here has been cleaned, and thus has a very bright look to it that will tone down in a few years and (as they usually do) develop a slight patina over the next few decades. It is complete all around and very pretty. Joe Budd Photos.
