Dimensions: 6 x 5.2 x 5cm
Location: Touissit-Bou Beker mining district, Jerada Province, Morocco
The cerussite twin, light-colored, striated, and a luminous beige, stands out clearly against a dark galena matrix speckled with smaller crystals. The contrast is striking, the composition aesthetically pleasing.
The old Touissit mines, which supplied excellent cerussite, azurite and anglesite, were worked from 1926 to 2002. Now closed, the beautiful collector pieces there have become rare and sought after.
Dimensions without the acrylic base, which is supplied with the mineralogical specimen.
The mineral is not glued to the base.
