Orange crystallized calcite across the top of a quartz matrix with chalcopyrite. In good condition with just minimal damage along one edge of the matrix only.The Ruschita Mine, located near Rusca Montana in Caras-Severin County, Romania, is situated within the Poiana Rusca Mountains of the Southern Carpathians. Geologically, the deposit consists of massive epimetamorphic marble lenses formed during the Devonian period from ancient coral reefs, which later underwent intense regional dynamo-thermal metamorphism within a complex tectonic setting.
