An attractive combination piece with glassy gemmy crystals of colorless quartz to 4.0 cm in length coming off of a skarn matrix. This is hosting an attractive iridescent crystal of chalcopyrite to 2.0 cm in size, as well as large rhombohedral colorless crystals of calcite. In great condition.The Ruschita Mine, located near Rusca Montana in Caras-Severin County, Romania, is situated within the Poiana Rusca Mountains of the Southern Carpathians. Geologically, the deposit consists of massive epimetamorphic marble lenses formed during the Devonian period from ancient coral reefs, which later underwent intense regional dynamo-thermal metamorphism within a complex tectonic setting.
