One of the ultimate rarities in Australian minerals, this is a superb miniature of elongated, robust atacamite crystals collected in the late 1800s; legendary material really only known from a few fine specimens outside Aussie museums. This miniature features lustrous, deep green crystals to 1.8 cm, and the location has produced best of species material of similar sort (with bigger crystals in Aussie museums!). Almost impossible to find on the market, Wayne traded this long ago with Australian collector Matt Webb. This is very three-dimensional and looks much better in person; and it can be displayed either horizontally or vertically as shown. Long in IKONS book author Wayne Thompson's personal collection of Miniatures/Thumbnails built with his daughter, Stevia, when she was young. Laszlo Kupi photo.
