Attractive gem crystal of elbaite. In good condition.Sao Jose da Safira, located in the Minas Gerais region of Brazil, is a world-renowned mining municipality within the Eastern Pegmatitic Province. Historically developed around rich rare-element pegmatite mining operations, the area gained global fame in the 20th century for producing exceptional gem-quality minerals. Geologically, the region is characterized by complex Neoproterozoic mobile belts and granitic intrusions that created ideal conditions for complex pegmatite pockets. These deposits are particularly celebrated for gem elbaite, a lithium-rich tourmaline that forms stunning multi-colored, highly transparent crystals prized by collectors worldwide.
