A cluster of lustrous metallic terminated stibnite crystals with minor quartz scattered throughout. Typical of these some damage present, this particular piece still quite nice.The Xikuangshan Mine, situated in Lengshuijiang, Hunan Province, China, is recognized as the world's largest antimony deposit. Historically, mining operations at the site are believed to have begun as early as 1521. Geologically, the deposit is hosted within an extensive anticline structure composed primarily of Devonian limestone and carbonate strata. The mineralogy of the deposit is dominated by massive and radiating aggregates of stibnite, accompanied by quartz, barite, calcite, and minor amounts of pyrite, formed via medium-to-low temperature hydrothermal processes.
