Interesting locality example for the species, colorless mostly gemmy semi lustrous crystals of fluorite measuring to just under 1.0 cm in size on matrix. In good condition.The village of Mihalkovo is situated in the Devin municipality of the Smolyan province within the Central Rhodope Mountains of southern Bulgaria. Geologically, the region is characterized by complex metamorphic complexes, crystalline basement rocks, and fault-bounded structures shaped by intensive tectonic and hydrothermal activity. The Mihalkovo area is widely recognized in economic geology for its metasomatic fluorite mineralization and hydrothermal veins, which formed through the circulation of low-to-moderate temperature mineral-rich fluids interacting with surrounding carbonate and silicate rock sequences. While the local area is most famous commercially for its natural carbonated mineral water springs discovered and developed through the 20th century, the geological setting hosts notable fluorite deposits studied extensively for their crystal morphology, fluid inclusions, and rare earth element distribution.
