Quite unusual for this locality, what is often called Cumberland habit crystals of quartz glassy and gemmy measuring to 2.3 cm in size are on a matrix with bladed metallic crystals of hematite. This is in good condition. The Jinlong Hill deposit, located in Longchuan County, Guangdong Province, China, is an iron-producing mining site that has gained international recognition among mineral collectors. Geologically, the area is characterized by complex hydrothermally altered rock sequences hosting iron-rich ore bodies, where magnetite and hematite underwent significant pseudomorphic transformations. The locality is especially famous for producing striking specimens of magnetic iron rose hematite (mushketovite) intertwined with pristine quartz crystals.
