I aquired this from an Ebay seller who listed it as an old, heavily included emerald removed from damaged antique jewellery.

The Gemmological Certification Services lab in London confirmed it as Alexandrite, and I plan to submit it to the GIA in London for full origin testing.

In my head and based on looking at reference images online, i suspect this is Ural Mountain material from the original Alexandrite mine, perhaps around the time that the gem quality material ran out. I can't prove that without origin testing, which is why the locality information is blank.
