In great condition.The Miracle Mountain Mine, situated near Garnet Hill and Volcano in Calaveras County, California, is a notable mineral collecting locality with a history rooted in the rich mining landscape of the Sierra Nevada foothills. Geologically, the area is characterized by metamorphic and plutonic rocks subject to contact metamorphism and hydrothermal alteration associated with regional granitic intrusions. This skarn-forming environment facilitated the development of calc-silicate minerals in deformed carbonate and volcanic host rocks. The site is particularly celebrated by mineral enthusiasts for producing sharp, lustrous, dark green to black prismatic crystals of epidote, frequently found as distinct twinned formations alongside garnet and quartz.
