A yellow green lustrous twinned crystal of titanite 2.0 cm in size on a and epidote rich matrix with white blocky crystals of albite. The crystal is natural all around and in good condition. Classic material for this Brazilian locality and species. The municipality of Capelinha, located in the Minas Gerais state of Brazil, is part of a prolific pegmatite region with a history of artisanal and commercial mining. Geologically, the area features complex Precambrian metamorphic rocks intruded by granitic pegmatites during regional tectonic events. These pegmatitic systems are enriched in elements such as boron, lithium, and titanium, providing a favorable environment for crystal growth. Capelinha is well known among mineral collectors for producing sharp, twinned, yellowish-green titanite crystals, often associated with accessory minerals like quartz, epidote and feldspar, formed through late-stage hydrothermal activity within the pegmatite pockets.
