Blue crystallized azurite in a cluster with green crystallized malachite. In good condition. The Campbell Shaft, located in the historic Warren Mining District of Bisbee, Arizona, began sinking operations in 1916 by the Calumet and Arizona Mining Company, initially intended to serve as a ventilation shaft before evolving into a major deep-level copper production hub. Geologically, the deposit is situated within a complex sequence of Paleozoic limestones resting upon Precambrian Pinal Schist, which were intruded by Jurassic-aged granitic rocks. Mineralization primarily consists of high-grade copper replacement orebodies formed through hydrothermal activity and later enhanced by extensive supergene enrichment processes.
