Amber colored lustrous and gemmy crystals of fluorite measuring to 1.0 cm in size in a cluster with crystallized dolomite and chalcopyrite. Minor galena present as well. This is in good condition.The Schreiber Shaft, located at the historic Churprinz Friedrich August Erbstolln Mine in the Mittelsachsen district of Saxony, Germany, is part of the broader Freiberg mining region within the Erzgebirge. The local geology is characterized by complex hydrothermal vein systems hosted within metamorphic rocks, containing rich polymetallic ores bearing silver, lead, zinc, and associated minerals. Operating from the eighteenth century onward, the mine complex served as a major industrial enterprise and a technological prototype for state-managed mining, functioning extensively as a training ground for the Freiberg Mining Academy. The Schreiber Shaft and its associated underground workings played a crucial role in the extensive water management, drainage adit networks, and deep-level ore extraction that defined centuries of deep-vein hard-rock mining innovation in central Europe.
