This is a rare location peice showing off sharp, pastel pink rhombohedral rhodochrosite crystals, in a solid cluster. Crystals reach 1.5 cm. Keith Williams was one of the first USA dealers to really go and bring back quality specimens in quantity, in the 1990s, when Bulgaria opened up. He had an amazing selection of specimens at Tucson for years, and I recall always looking for Bulgarian rhodo's. However, this style was never common, and my recollection is that his other Bulgaria rhodochrosites were from other locations, not this particular mine. Rich Geiger bought it from Keith directly back then, when it came out.
