A beautiful old-time grouping of azurite crystals from the type locality for the species, the famous Chessy Copper Mines in France. This specimen features numerous dark blue blades of azurite with very little matrix. Likely from the mid-late 1800s or early 1900s, this specimen is accompanied by an old label, c. 1948, from famed New York City dealer, Hugh A. Ford.
