The Dal’Negorsk District in Far Eastern Russia on the Pacific Coast is known for it’s varied and sometimes world-class fluorite specimens. The most desirable and iconic Dal’Negorsk fluorites are the “optical clear” crystals, such as this beautiful example. This piece features a large cubic crystal with inclusions that is perched perfectly on a contrasting matrix of galena and siderite. This is a very nice fluorite from a classic locality, with dramatic display presence and aesthetics. Some chipping, but in overall nice condition. Very neat!
