One of the rarest minerals in the world, red beryl is only found in one area of Utah. This is a beautiful example with a nearly 2 cm crystal aesthetically perched on matrix. Very nice and exceedingly rare. Like much of this material, this specimen was stabilized in place upon recovery and further stabilized to ensure the crystal did not come loose from the delicate matrix.
