A very large (7cm) rhomb of lustrous deep cherry red rhodochrosite from the Sweet Home Mine. This piece came from the Porcelain Pocket, which was mined in 2000. A very impressive example that explodes with color when backlit! Very lustrous! This piece is cleaved on the top, but I don’t find it takes away from the overall aesthetics or value of the specimen. It is complete and/or re-healed on all other sides. Displays well from almost any angle, but includes custom base which displays as photographed.
