Colorado amazonite and smoky quartz combos are some of the world’s most iconic mineral specimens. This fine example from the Pikes Peak Batholith features dark black smoky quartz and typical blue/green amazonite crystals. While most of these are heavily repaired or restored, this specimen has no repairs, however it is most likely minorly stabilized. A very aesthetic piece from the collection of noted Colorado collector, G.W. Fisher – possibly collected by him.
