While the famous Fresnillo District in Mexico’s Zacatecas State has long been known for superb examples of silver minerals, these acanthite crystals are truly something special. Their large size, complex crystal development, and sharp, jet-black faces rank them with the finest acanthites ever found. This specimen features remarkably lustrous crystals. This is a great acanthite specimen for the serious collector, from a small find unlikely to be rivaled. Photo by IFM.
