The ArkenstoneFeatured
A sparkling and glistening plate of complex mineralization, from a now-legendary find at this hard-to-pronounce location that is apparently being worked as a small artisanal mining project. While not all pockets have the same sparkling coating of quartz, these are now modern classics. This specimen has large crystals to 5 cm of azurite replaced by malachite; and then in turn replaced again by chrysocolla. Some open breaks or growth defects, or contact spots, show a look inside: you can see that these malachite crystals have been replaced by chrysocolla. Upon them, the quartz was deposited later. Other than a few contacts as you see, complete all around and very showy in a case!
