A sharp and elegant large miniature, showcasing the reasons why Michigan silver became so world-famous when they came out. Such specimens date from the mid-1850s to the early 1900s, and few came out after that time. While it is possible this is more recent, it is likely ancient; as the heyday of this mine was from about 1860-1900. This specimen is perfectly balanced, complete on both sides, and shows exquisite natural patina. It comes from the silver suite of the Liebetrau collection, which we purchased in 2024.
