For a state where Fluorite is rare, the Deer Trail mine in Utah is a notable exception. Famous for excellent, pale peppermint green to seafoam green, well-formed cubo-octahedral Fluorite crystals most of the specimens seen today have come from older collections having been mined in the early 1980s. This excellent smaller miniature specimen features a single, undamaged, pale sea-green, translucent to slightly transparent, cubo-octahedral Fluorite crystal, 2 x 1.7 cm, with fine stepped detail to its faces, perched upon a small piece of white Quartz. Ex Arvid Pasto Collection, no. AEP1084, illustrated as Figure 84 in his 2009 book, Collector's Guide to Fluorite.
