A find in 2008 at Dreamtime claim, Crystal Peak, Teller County, Colorado resulted in some really excellent Fluorite crystals from an area not necessarily renowned for Fluorite. This very large miniature specimen from Arvid Pasto's collection (no. AEP1239) is certainly one of the better pieces to come out of that find and is illustrated in his 2009 book, Collector's Guide to Fluorite. With a cream Microcline base, an excellent group of intergrown and twinned rich pastel-purple clouded, but translucent, cubic Fluorite crystals sit, some with really fine sharp edges and corners. There are a few minor chips and the odd corner missing, but this is extremely good for a Colorado Fluorite both in terms of colour and overall quality. The largest Fluorite crystal reaches nearly 2 cm on edge.
