Although only labelled as from Oatman District, Black Mountains, Mohave Co., Arizona, USA, this distinctive pale apple-green octahedral form of Fluorite on drusy Quartz is most likely from the Homestake-Jack Pot mine in that mining district. During the 1990s and early 2000s the Homestake-Jack Pot mine produced some of the finest Fluorites ever found in Arizona. This good representative example comes from Arvid Pasto's famous Fluorite collection and consists of a ridge-like mass of finely crystallized cream to white coloured Quartz upon which several pale sea-green octahedral Fluorite crystals sit. The largest crystal reaches over 2.5 cm across but is not perfectly formed, missing a little of one side where it appears to have been trapped against the edge of the pocket before it was extracted.
