Recent mining for cavansite has also uncovered the world's finest pentagonite crystals (a dimorph of cavansite with different crystal form, these showing much twinning). This rare mineral occurs here as a Christmas tree-shaped cluster of 1.7 cm in length, with lustrous and translucent, rich, neon-blue, crystals. The pentagonite is nestled protectively in a vug of lustrous, translucent, colorless, stilbite crystals. Just lovely!
