When these lighter, teal-blue crystals were found, they were thought to be cavansite, but recent work has proven them to be the orthorhombic dimorph, pentagonite, which is much rarer than cavansite. This specimen consists of a cluster of pentagonite crystals sitting on matrix. Individual crystals reach nearly 1 cm in length. They are extremely lustrous. Viewing this piece through a hand lens reveals many tiny water clear calcite crystals on the pentagonite.
