What a sharp, cyclic-twinned Rutile thumbnail from Magnet Cove, Arkansas! This is just a perfect and complete Rutile sixling twin with a very bright, metallic luster. It is just an absolute classic and perfect example for the species and locality. Each twin component is very distinct, striated, well formed and the individual twins just scintillate when you rotate the piece in your fingertips! The piece has a hexagonal profile with protruding faces and a recessed central area. This superb thumbnail was probably collected in the late 1900s, and such specimens are true classics. When we get these, only in old collections, they are usually rubbed and rolled by time and handling. This, however, is sharp. It is a competitive level thumbnail as well as an important twinned rutile from the most important such locality for twinning.
