Charming and elegant spray of Amethyst scepters measuring up to 1.6 cm in length with gemmy grape purple terminations that fan out across this scintillating piece from classic finds in India. The Amethyst growth exhibits a fiery purple glow as the light captures the highly translucent and glassy luster faces. The scepters are composed of initial clear to faint lavender prismatic Quartz crystals with a secondary overgrowth of rich Amethyst scepter heads up to 8 mm across. Both Quartz generations have similar unknown inclusions throughout the crystals consisting of dark-brown-colored blebs, possibly some sort of iron oxide such as Goethite, and thin reddish-brown needles, possibly Hematite. A few of the fibrous needles can also be found sticking out of the sides of the scepters. The Amethyst crystals are complete having well-formed terminations that are in excellent condition with only the slightest of bruising. The specimen has a great form that displays well with a lovely radiating burst highlighting the Amethyst crown of magnificent purple jewels. Ex. William (Bill) Larson Quartz Collection. This collection was built since the 1980s and on exhibit for decades in his jewelry and mineral store in Fallbrook, California.
