Tucson, Arizona, USADiscovered in the 1970s, the polymetallic massive sulphide deposit at Endeavor mine, Cobar, Robinson County, New South Wales, Australia commenced mining in 1983 under the name of Elura mine. Rebranding during the early 21st century gave it the Endeavor title. Despite being a multimillion ton operation only a few notable mineral discoveries have been reported, including some of the world's finest Mimetite crystals and extremely fine elongated spinel-twinned Native Silver crystals. This miniature specimen is one of the Native Silvers and is exceptionally long - reaching 6.8 cm in length. It is mounted on a circular acryllic base for display and handling.
