The aesthetics of this Milpillas mine Azurite is amazing but it should be stated from the outset that it is repaired, although you will struggle to see where this is - one corner has been reattached. The classic feature of Milpillas Azurite is the sumptuous glossy lustre of the intense blue crystals which are often extremely well-formed and spaced out so that their perfect individual form can be enjoyed to the max. Their blocky rhombic crystal form is quite distinctive and combined with a background of matt green Malachite as a sculptural thin plate it presents magnificently. Large miniature in size, the size of the Azurite crystals (to 1.8 cm in length) is great, making them highly visible, and other than the one repair there is no obvious damage. A relatively modern Azurite classic.
