This beautiful small cabinet specimen of Pyromorphite comes from one of the world's greatest localities for the species - Les Farges mine, in France. Les Farges has produced a range of different colours and forms for Pyromorphite, but the greens, with their exceptional greasy lustre are some of the most desirable. Looking almost wet in appearance, the lime-green seed-like prismatic crystals of Pyromorphite completely coat the upper 60 percent of this specimen, encapsulating the classic massive white Baryte matrix. Most of the Pyromorphite crystals are between 1 and 4 mm in length and form an almost organic-like layer. A very pretty French classic form this one great specimen-producing mine.
