This Rhodochrosite from the 10th Level Silicate Ore Body, Potosí mine, Santa Eulalia District, Chihuahua, Mexico is very different in form to many seen from this location. Forming a sparkling finely crystalline pale pink botryoidal crust, this very large miniature to small cabinet-sized specimen is quite eye-catching. The Rhodochrosite is extremely glossy and very attractive with no damage. This crust coats a black matrix of probable manganese oxides.
