From a recent find in the 10th Level Silicate Ore Body, Potosí mine, Santa Eulalia District, Chihuahua, Mexico comes this fine cabinet-sized display specimen. The Rhodochrosite crystals are a lovely soft pink colour, extremely glassy, and clustered in sporadic rosette-like sprays 6 to 10 mm in diameter and occasional 'prismatic' individual crystals. The black Hisingerite matrix enhances their colour, acting as a fine backdrop to showcase these wonderfully bright and colourful crystals. Under magnification the Rhodochrosite displays exceptional crystallographic detail. A really fine Rhodochrosite, full of character and beauty.
