This truly magnificent Quartz var. Amethyst is an amazing star-burst spray of tapering pyramidal-terminated crystals reaching an impressive 6 cm in length. These crystals not only form a fabulous display, but are beautiful internally, grading upwards from white at their base through sparkling internal ice-like inclusions up through colourless rock crystal into stunning purple tips. Most of the terminations show three-sided points, rather than six-sided, and are immaculate. This is a top-end Veracruz Amethyst, leagues above most specimens that you see for sale. A wonderous piece.
