Pete Tescione Collection Pete Tescione was an avid field collector and a part-time mineral dealer in the Tucson area. We were able to acquire 3 important lots of his field collected minerals: pyromorphite from Spain, hematite from Italy, and quartz from the Jeffrey Mine in Arkansas. According to Tescione’s labels the pyromorphite crystals were collected in 1986 by Peter P. Tescione Jr. with Francisco Vergara and Ignacio. This one is unique in the lot. It has larger crystals and a lighter color than most. It also has somewhat feathered terminations on the crystals. The only attached matrix consists of small shards of a white mineral, presumably barite.
