Sceptered Citrine Quartz
Dimensions: 6.2 x 3.9 x 5.9cm
Locality: Boekenhouthoek, Mkobola, Thembisile Hani Local Municipality, Nkangala District Municipality, Mpumalanga, South Africa
From this deposit north of Pretoria, famous for its typically sceptered amethysts (often locally called cactus amethyst). Citrine pieces were found more rarely with a very beautiful yellow color covering this quite extraordinary sceptered crystallization. An ideal sample for a thumbnail collection, there were few small harmonious pieces with a beautiful crystallography.
Dimensions without the acrylic base, which is supplied with the mineralogical specimen.
The mineral is not glued to the base (soft mastic).
