A lustrous, striated and twinned, very old-time thumbnail Rutile crystal from the historic locality of Parkesburg, Pennsylvania. This very geometric thumbnail displays two, well-defined, geniculate twins at the top half of the crystal making it look almost like a miniature cathedral. The Rutile is a submetallic brown with very well defined faces and edges that are repeated in parallel growth all around this handsome crystal. Having the crystal mounted in the black resin base with the handwritten script label makes the entire piece look vintage, which it is! An old, distinctive Rutile thumbnail.
