A classic, very showy Quartz specimen with pastel blue color, from the famous metallic mines at Concepcion del Oro, Zacatecas, Mexico. A cluster of nearly parallel growth, lustrous, milky Quartz crystals are dotted with tiny specks of Malachite locally on the bottom half of the piece. The Quartz has a faint blue tint, presumably due to included Chrysocolla on an earlier generation (phantom?) of Quartz; and this adds character and a subtle coloration to the piece. This bluish pastel color is complemented by tiny, isolated sprays of green Malachite. A handsome small cabinet piece from old finds, given Paul Seel's collecting period. Likely from the early to mid-1900s.
