Dimensions: 4.4 x 3.1 x 2.8cm Location: Huayllapon Mine, Pasto Bueno, Pampas District, Pallasca Province, Ancash, Peru A remarkable rhombohedron of Rhodochrosite from the Huayllapon mine in Peru. Its quality and color are reminiscent of specimens from Sweet home mine in Colorado. The color is very intense, a deep and frank red (no pink shade), the crystal of a beautiful size is nonetheless very bright. An excellent opportunity to acquire a Rhodochrosite at a fair price (I was going to say decent!) which is increasingly complicated with those from Colorado. Dimensions without the acrylic base, which is supplied with the mineralogical specimen. The mineral is not glued to the base (soft putty).
