Dimensions: 1.7 x 2 x 2.2cm Location: Chella, Valencia, Spain A variety of hematoid quartz called "Hyacinth of Compostela," a very attractive cluster on a gypsum matrix. An excellent and very affordable thumbnail. The deposit has no connection to Compostela, but these small red quartz crystals were considered lucky charms for pilgrims traveling to Santiago de Compostela. Dimensions without the acrylic base, which is supplied with the mineralogical specimen. The mineral is not glued to the base.
