Quite distinctive is the overall combination of colour, lustre and form of the Andradite garnets from Stanley Butte in the Santa Teresa Mts., Arizona. Known since at least the 1960s there has been a steady drip of specimens coming to the market for generations, but very few specimens show perfect aesthetic form. This very large miniature to very small cabinet-sized Andradite presents extremely well, featuring sharp, classic, rhombic dodecahedral crystals but with naturally pitted, or stepped, crystal faces. These crystals reach 1 cm across and are inbetween gooseberry-brown to clove-brown in colour and are all in very fine condition and present remarkably well for this well-known occurrence. Ex Paul Matt.
