The specimen comes with an antique label as shown at the end of the video and dates to the very early 20th century if not earlier.Berezovsk, also known as Beryozovsky, in Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia, is one of the most historically significant gold mining districts in the Ural Mountains, with mining activity dating back to the 18th century following the discovery of placer gold. The area later developed extensive underground operations to exploit primary gold deposits hosted in quartz veins cutting through metamorphic and igneous rocks. The geology is characterized by hydrothermal mineralization, where gold was deposited along with sulfide minerals in structurally controlled zones. Over time, the district became one of the earliest centers of gold production in Russia and played an important role in the development of the countrys mining industry. In addition to gold, the locality is known among collectors for a variety of mineral specimens associated with these vein systems, reflecting the complex geologic processes active in the region.
